JOB DESCRIPTION – FX SUPPORT ANALYST
As an FX Support Analyst to join team, you will provide global follow-the-sun 1st and 2nd line production service to the in-house and vendor FX Trading applications across the regional FX business using your technical and business knowledge.
- Provide 1st/2nd line support for e-Trading and Distribution systems.
- Manage, maintains and supports applications and their operating environments.
- Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover.
- Support, maintenance and testing to applications are managed and delivered through agile methodologies with teams working in squads.
- Tracking outstanding issues and working with the appropriate parties to achieve resolution.
- Liaising with internal, external customers, senior stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and automating manual tasks.
- Provide Support of Liquidity providers, pricing and aggregation engines.
- Coordinate and provide support to Vendor / 3rd party applications and connections, Client Server environment and Web servers.
- Perform onboarding of clients onto ecommerce / FX platforms, connectivity testing, and monitoring of client connections.
- Work with network team on SSL config and licensing.
- Work closely with UNIX/Database/Network/Market Data/Infrastructure/Firewall teams during outages/Code Change.
- Good experience and knowledge of FIX protocol.
- FIX Investigating issues while trading and performing execution.
- Participate in bank wide DR/BCP/Isolation tests, Site Switches and work with other PS teams on DR remediation.
- Support infrastructure changes perform business checkouts, releases, Failovers during weekend.
- Documenting issues and new processes.
- Working weekends and providing on-call support.
- Work on shift basis if required during different time zones.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 8+ years of experience in a Production Support role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and whilst under pressure.
- Detailed understanding of relevant trade flows (pricing, quoting, RFQ, STP, settlement, regulatory reporting etc.).
- Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Good understanding of the FX product scope and terminologies
- Experience supporting a low latency environment.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Familiar with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch/Kibana/Logstash)
- Operating systems knowledge (Windows, Unix, Linux)
- Strong scripting skills (eg Shell Scripting, Python, Perl)
- Good Knowledge of monitoring/scheduling tools such as Control M, CA, Dynatrace.
- Databases and writing SQL Queries.
- Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or similar)
- DevOps tools as part of the deployment pipeline (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Elastic, Jira etc)
- Preferably FX business knowledge
