Deputy Directorate IT

Role Description

Oversee the development and implementation of software applications and systems for the medical and patient care model. Responsible for leading software engineering teams and managing the development process from conception to completion. This includes researching and analyzing user needs and requirements, designing, coding, testing, and implementing software systems, and managing the development and implementation of software projects.

Functions:

·        Development and execution of software development strategies, plans and processes.

·        Design and development of software solutions, including requirements analysis and systems design

·        Technical leadership and mentoring of software development personnel

·         Management of software development teams and guidance on software development best practices

·        Developing and managing software development budgets and timelines

·        Collaborating with other departments to ensure successful product delivery

·        Tracking software development trends and making recommendations for improvement

·        Managing external software development resources

·        Conducting software development performance evaluations

·        Implementation / Migration of Electronic Medical Record to new technology

·        Implementation / Migration of the diary system to new technology Completes architectural assessments and unbiased analysis of key decisions within projects including impact on systems, timelines, and other key variables.

·        Build a collaborative commitment to technology strategy by considering and evaluating different points of view

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Required degree: Yes

Experience: 3 to 5+ years' Experience with similar role

Skills:

Thorough knowledge of software development processes and technologies 2.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++ and Python.

Experience with software project management tools such as JIRA and Git.

Knowledge and application of agile methodologies (SCRUM).

Desirable degree: CCNA-CCNP diploma/certification, cybersecurity diploma, or related.

Languages: B2 (Written, reading comprehension and spoken)

Willingness to travel

Car and driver's license
