Category Supplier Manager

Location: Zapopan Jalisco

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year

Our Global Procurement team plays a vital role in Micron's growth, focusing on delivering best-in-class total cost and supply chain resiliency through cutting-edge predictive capabilities, risk analysis, and sustainability initiatives. We are currently seeking a Category Supplier Manager to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop category strategies for managed categories, in collaboration with Global and Regional Category Managers.
• Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier analysis, benchmarking, and cost management.
• Build trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders to drive best-in-class cost, supply, and resilience.

Cost Management & Analysis:

• Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers.
• Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets.
• Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal stakeholders.

Negotiation:

• Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions, renewals, and price renegotiations.
• Develop negotiation strategies incorporating savings targets and contract requirements.

Business Partnering:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions.
• Develop and maintain expertise in assigned spend categories through relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience in a category management role, preferably in the semiconductor or tech industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
