WHAT IS YOUR ROLE

This role is client-facing with numerous opportunities to grow within the firm as well as provide meaningful insights and value to our clients. The position is a hybrid of accounting, finance, and tax.

The ideal candidate is proactive and intellectually curious, possesses the capability to work independently, strong attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices. You understand that the decisions people make are only as good as the information they have and accurate, clean books are imperative.  WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and adherence to relevant accounting standards.
  • Work on multiple client accounts simultaneously, manage client expectations and interact with clients directly to get the needed information.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure proper coding and classification of transactions.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide variance analysis.
  • Continuously evaluate and streamline accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices.
  • Update management reporting schedules around key financial metrics.
  •  Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.

WHAT WE'LL LIKE ABOUT YOU

YOU HAVE…

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA equivalent certification required
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and other accounting principles and standards
  • Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software applications.
  • Fluent in English
