eCommerce Architect

Resource Description

Solution architect with a strong knowledge of ecommerce applications that will help us to design the eCommerce strategy for B2C, B2B and B2B2C models. We are looking to evolve and modernize our current eCommerce platform to a composable commerce solution. 

Requirements

- Previous Architecture or Technical Team Lead experience on major E-Commerce transformation projects either at a Consultancy or End User/Retailer

- Has delivered at least one eCommerce solution, through to deployment and go-live, preferably in an agile development team

- Experience working with Order Management Systems

- Experience designing eCommerce evolution roadmap including modern and composable architectures

- Can articulate thoughts clearly listen to and considers others' ideas

- Demonstrated and proven thorough knowledge and understanding of Ecommerce platforms such as Commerce Tools, VTEX, Magento, SAP Hybris, etc

- Keeps up to date with latest eCommerce trends and apply them to solve business challenges

- Experience in Responsive and Adaptive web development techniques is a must

- Self-motivated to effectively manage their own projects and deliverables

- Interest in developing the organisation, building and documenting processes, and evaluating tools and software

- 10+ years of total IT experience with special focus on architecture, design, and development of Multi-channel eCommerce applications

- Ability to discuss various architecture/technology approaches and influence at the client Director/VP level

- Strong understanding of Micro-service architectures and prior hands-on experience in developing and deploying Micro-services solutions

Responsibilities

- Provide expertise on eCommerce application architecture, integration development initiatives, analyzing business requirements and crafting appropriate, cost-effective, and logical solution

- Design and architect B2B and B2C eCommerce platforms

- Provide Architectural support for the Web stores

- Understand both Agile and Waterfall SDLC processes

- Collaborate and communicate with different teams and triage issues across teams

- Transforms complex business requirements into candidate system architectures which also meet security and high availability requirements

- Liaises between client, management and suppliers gaining trust with clear and consistent communication

- Works in an advisory role to help our clients improve the productivity and quality of their own systems delivery functions

- Participates in Design reviews and Code reviews from the architectural point of view

- Contributes to the development of Digital Commerce practice by creating reusable assets and leading estimations for large scale projects
