Team Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Business Partner to join our team at a leading SOFIPO in Mexico. In this role, you will work closely with senior executives, handling financial budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting. Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and Manage Financial Budgets:
    • Create and oversee the implementation of annual financial budgets.
    • Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare Rolling Forecasts:
    • Update rolling forecasts to reflect changes in the business environment.
    • Identify and analyze variances, suggesting corrective actions as needed.
  • Track Financial Targets:
    • Establish financial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives.
    • Monitor progress against targets and prepare regular reports for management.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance:
    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports to regulatory bodies, including CNBV.
    • Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure compliance in all reporting and financial practices.
  • Support Senior Management:
    • Collaborate with senior executives to develop and communicate the financial business plan.
    • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Work closely with various departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to gather financial data and support their financial needs.
    • Provide financial guidance and support to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct Financial Analysis:
    • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
    • Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Drive Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting.
    • Leverage technology and best practices to streamline financial processes.
  • Communicate Financial Performance:
    • Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and dashboards to stakeholders.
    • Clearly communicate financial performance, trends, and projections to various audiences.


Role Qualifications

  • Years of Experience:
    • At least 7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a financial institution or SOFIPO.
  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Hard Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
    • Deep understanding of Mexican financial regulations and CNBV requirements.
    • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Industry Experience:
    • Experience working in the financial sector, particularly within a SOFIPO or similar financial institutions.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Experience with financial modeling and strategic planning.
    • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
  • Spoken Languages:
    • Fluency in Spanish and English.
