A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Commissioning Documentation Professional, you will be responsible for creating project-specific commissioning documents for electrical and I&C equipment in accordance with contractual specifications and Siemens Energy standards. Your role will significantly contribute to the smooth and accurate execution during the commissioning phase, while also providing comprehensive commissioning documentation for the customer.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Compiling project-specific electrical and I&C commissioning manuals in compliance with contractual requirements and internal standards, including commissioning instructions, programs, and checklists for all electrical and I&C equipment within Siemens Energy's scope of supply.
• Coordinating the scope and schedule of the project-specific commissioning manual with project management.
• Clarifying electrical and I&C commissioning interfaces with engineering.
• Defining commissioning boundaries or system boundaries as a foundation for the commissioning procedures.

What You Bring

• Must be fluent in the English language with writing and speaking
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc or MSc) preferably with focus on power engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in hands-on of electrical commissioning of components and systems in power plants, not supervision nor advisory services.
• High technical qualification in the field of Electrical Commissioning and operation of electrical installations of Power Plants and/or Synchronous Condensers:

Interface Grid/Plant

Development of initial switching procedures for new installed equipment with interface to external entities (e.g. grid)

Primary and Secondary testing of protection functions

Knowledge of essential functionalities of protection devices and their importance to relevant authorities, depending on contractual requirements and rules and regulations. NEC code.

Oil filled Transformer including accessories

Generator and Transformer Protection Systems

MV switchgears including protection circuits and interlocks

AC/DC switchgears including protection circuits and interlocks

LV transformers including protection circuits and interlocks

AC/DC and DC/DC converter

DC/AC inverter

Batteries

Drives and feeders

• Advanced skills and experience with MS Windows, Word, Excel and PDF editors
• High quantity of file management and manipulation skills
• Programming experience in these environments is a plus
• Naturally curious personality driven to learn and investigate.
• Driven to find ways to improve and perform tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility and willingness for domestic and international travel. Desirable US visa B1/B2
