Senior Software Quality Assurance Lead

Location: Monterrey - Hybrid (80% remote / 20% on site)

English Level: Proficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership abilities with a successful track record in leading and motivating teams to achieve project goals.
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycles.
• Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• English Proficiency is required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into testable scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance and testing.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP).
• Experience testing in Cloud environments (Azure is a plus).
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Slack is nice to have.
