As Application Engineer you will prepare and manage technical proposals for the

Conversion, Modification &; Uprates (CM&U) upgrade of Instrumentation and

Control systems on Gas Turbines for Power Generation industry, understanding

business strategy and operating mode.

Requimerents:

1. Bachelor or master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering / automation

engineering / Electrical & Electronics

2. Working Experience: More than 13 years of experience in gas turbine or equivalent

field and gas turbine Instrumentation & Control Systems or equivalent field.

3. Product & Systems knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of Gas Turbine and GT

auxiliaries including Instrumentation and Control Systems (Mark Vie, EX2100e, LCI,

DFE). Knowledge about GT auxiliary functionality and operation

1. Tools and Software Skills: Advanced skills in MS-Office, PLM Systems, Cimplicity,

ControlST, Toolbox, Knowledge of the Gas Turbines control code.

1. Customer Focus – Candidate needs be able to think from the customer's perspective in

order to optimize the technical proposal and quotation of the offer. Candidate also

needs to be able to think from the perspective of to optimize the Business

Impact of the offer/proposal within scope of work (customers perspective versus

technical necessities)

2. Teamwork skills - Be comfortably working with colleagues in multiple time zones in

one team and lead team discussions and decisions in fruitful cooperation. Ability to

establish relationships and build networks in a global team setup, interface with the

service design engineering groups, Commercial groups, Requisition Engineering

groups, other engineering groups and project management.

3. Communication & Personal Skills: English 90%. Strong oral and written communication

skills. 

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and

impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem

identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.

Responsabilities:

Main responsibilities and duties include the following. Other duties may be

assigned. The Application Engineer will perform work as assigned by management

based on the schedule and materials provided to them with priority on the primary

duties as listed below:

1. Prepare CM&U technical proposals (including research, technical description,

performance, emissions, and cost definition) as part of the ITO process for Base-class,

E-class, F[1]Class, and H-class gas turbines, Generator, Steam Turbine, Heat Recovery

Steams and the instrumentation, monitoring and control systems for all the units. The

Control Systems upgrades will be related, but not limited to Mark VI to Mark VIe

migrations, Rip & Replace of Mark VIe, Digital Front End for Exciter systems and LCIs,

HMI and Network improvements. BOP panels, as well as control software translations

and modifications.

2. Coordinate with customers, Regional and headquarters sales and commercial

operations, and key Core Power Services Organizations to ensure the CM&U proposal

is compatible with the unit, customer need, design standards, all governing

regulatory codes & standards, and established quoting limits.

3. Promote and contribute to business initiatives, including but not limited to:

Simplification, Cost reduction, CM&U Campaigns, Digital Thread, Digital Industrial,

Plant Solution Configurator, Tech Stack Plant Solution Initiatives.

4. Comply with the responsibilities described in the quality system

procedures and company policies.
