We are looking for an Entry Level Tax Preparer to join our team at Cadencia. We need someone who is passionate about using their accounting knowledge and learning U.S. tax law to prepare tax returns. Excellent communication is crucial as we work with individual and business clients, including both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Our business clients mainly consist of professional service providers and rental real estate investors.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and strong communication skills to collaborate with co-workers. Previous experience with U.S. tax returns is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Review client-provided documentation

Organize documentation into work papers to support tax return preparation

Prepare and self-review federal and state individual income tax returns

Ensure high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as a team player

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a BS in Accounting or recently graduated with a BS or higher in Accounting

Ability to apply critical thinking in daily tasks

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Engaging personality that values building internal and external relationships

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required

Knowledge of any tax preparation software is a bonus

Will provide:

One-on-one training and video instruction on tax forms, U.S. tax documents, supplemental information provided by clients, organization of tax documents, and preparation of individual and some business income tax returns
