Job Title: EHS Specialist

Job Objective:

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that casting and machining operations are conducted in compliance with safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations and best practices. The role involves identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace risks, while fostering a safety and well-being culture within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety and occupational health programs and procedures specific to casting and machining processes.
• Ensure compliance with national and international EHS regulations (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, among others).
• Conduct internal EHS audits and collaborate in the implementation of corrective actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Lead incident and accident investigations, analyzing root causes and developing action plans to prevent future occurrences.
• Provide regular training and education to staff on safe practices in casting and machining processes.
• Supervise workplace conditions and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS initiatives into all operational processes to maximize operational efficiency and minimize risks.
• Manage documentation related to environmental and safety compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments for occupational and environmental hazards, establishing control measures and preventive actions.
• Stay updated on local and international EHS laws and regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for casting and machining processes, promoting the implementation of good environmental and safety practices.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in casting and machining processes.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring EHS management systems.
• Practical knowledge of local and international EHS regulations.

Technical Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of risks associated with casting and machining processes, along with necessary control measures.
• Experience with risk analysis tools (such as root cause analysis, risk assessments, etc.).
• Familiarity with EHS regulations, including applicable environmental and safety laws for the industry.
• Proficiency with EHS-related software, such as safety management systems, waste management, and compliance tracking tools.

Languages:

• Advanced English, both spoken and written, for managing documentation, interacting with international teams, and participating in global training or audits.
