We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to work with various clients at our delivery center in Mexico. Our mission at Apex Systems is providing Insights that Inspire. You will help achieve that mission by giving our clients consultative guidance and technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Technical Lead for the QA Team; help manage the team, escalate, work closely with Practice Director
• Prepare detailed? comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Plan and coordinate testing activities? thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs
• Build and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Organize testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Review debugging process results
• Track quality assurance metrics? like defect densities and open defect counts
• Analyze the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Create and maintain a comprehensive set of regression test scripts that cover all functional aspects of the custom software.
• Collect quality data, and present metrics on product quality.
• Use various software tools to investigate possible defects.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of previous experience in a Quality Assurance function within a technical team preferred (Experience in Manual and Automation Testing)
• Very detail-oriented, with an eye for finding nuanced software defects.
• Demonstrated ability to create detailed testing scripts
• 5+ years' experience with Agile Scrum Software Development Lifecycle activities and practices, and the ability to participate in Scrum activities preferred.
• Ability to deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to manage progress for multiple activities at once.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment, in order to achieve team goals and complete assignments within established deadlines.
