Our client is an exciting fin-tech company looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in their Monterrey offices.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, resourceful problem solving skills, and deep knowledge of regional laws/regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable and expense management (credit cards, employee reimbursements)
• Post journal entries and own the month-end close processes
• Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts, credit card purchases and daily bank activity
• Develop robust workpapers, and ensure all controls are performed in a manner that will meet requirements of the external auditors
• Implementing process efficiencies and system improvements to streamline accounting processes and shorten the month-end close timelines
• Assist in the planning and implementation of key financial software solutions
• Assist with external audit requests and other ad hoc projects

Requirements:

1. 5-7 years of accounting or related finance experience
2. Knowledge of US GAAP required
3. Experience with Quickbooks Online, Netsuite, Excel
4. Experience in the software / technology industry preferred
5. Experience with foreign entities and consolidations preferred
6. Passion for building and developing process improvements
7. Strong accountability and detail oriented. Ability to work independently and solve complex problems. Excellent communication skills.
