Manufacturing Engineer (MACHINING).

Role Purpose:

Design and develop production processes that guarantee the capacity, ability, quality, productivity and safety planned for both current processes and new programs.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project quotation information to establish productivity, safety, cost and quality objectives.
• Design production processes according to feasibility and production requirements.
• Develop production processes that meet established objectives through the use of standard methods of operation and adjustment of machinery.
• Plan and coordinate the generation of process documentation for new projects and/or mass production.
• Develop tooling for the improvement of production processes considering the cost per piece, durability and impact on the process.
• Standardize production processes throughout the value chain.
• Improve designs or processes leaving them free of risks for people, machinery, facilities or the environment.
• Implement and improve the safe model change.
• Coordinate and follow up actions to increase tool life.

Experience and essential qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electronics or related field.
• Advanced English.
• 2 years of experience in Manufacturing (Machining) areas.

Essential competences:

• Knowledge of turning, heat treatment and welding manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of geometric and dimensional tolerances.
• Knowledge of FEA.
• Knowledge of environmental and quality standards.
• Knowledge of material properties.
• Knowledge of CAD software (Creo Parametric).
• Knowledge of statistical process control.
• Use of teaching techniques.
• Negotiation techniques.
• Handling of project management.
