Job Description:
The ServiceNow Administrator will report directly to the Product Owner for ServiceNow. This role will mentor other ServiceNow Administrators to help them master the platform and provide continuous service improvements to the platform. The admin must understand its modules, such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and CMDB. The admin must be able to create workflows, configure forms and manage user roles; Enhance scripting abilities; familiar with JavaScript and know how to write efficient client-side scripts, business rules and server-side scripts using Glide API.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in guiding people to understand, manage and support the ServiceNow platform. They must be able to articulate technical concepts and workflows in a clear, easy to understand way for end users. They must be able to troubleshoot platform specific issues and have experience fixing them. They must have an already strong understanding of database concepts like tables, relationships, queries and reporting. They must have experience in collaborating with other teams like IT, Dev, HR, etc.
They must understand scoped vs global applications; is familiar with standard ServiceNow release processes to promote code via update sets and/or from Github to QC/UAT/Production; follow and adhere to processes for support of scheduled ServiceNow upgrades/security patches; understand the platform components and how they can be utilized to achieve a desired result; learn and follow the Consilio JIRA workflow processes required.
The right candidate will be an energetic self-starter who is a ServiceNow expert.
Responsibilities:
• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator preferred
• Develop ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Web Service, HTML and CSS
• Work with Service Asset & Configuration Mngt teams to deliver expanded Discovery functionality
• Able to develop and deliver custom portal web pages in ServiceNow using Bootstrap and Angular JS JavaScript frameworks
• Manage CMDB health to support Assets and Configuration
• Configure and create notifications, UI pages, UI macros, scripts, etc in ServiceNow
• Responsible for application support and operational activities, code migrations, replications, patching, upgrades following company policies and standards
• Creates and maintains process and knowledge documentation needed for ServiceNow Admins and/or end users
• Utilize ServiceNow import templates for loading of data
• Data extract from ServiceNow into import template format or other reporting formats
• Manage the setup, administration and configuration of field system support application and tools
• Understand new ServiceNow features and unused module functionality to drive platform expansion and adoption
• Stay abreast for ServiceNow updates how it impacts what is in production and any deprecated functionality that must be accounted for
• 4+ years of IT experience on application operations in a large-scale complex environment
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
• 4+ Hands-on experience as ServiceNow Administrator. This includes CSM, ITSM, HR Service Delivery, ITAM, ITOM, SecOps modules within ServiceNow
• Experience with Flow Designer, Process Automation Designer, Activity Definitions and building of custom Spokes
• Solid proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs within the context of ServiceNow development and experience working with Integration Hub
• Experience working and integrating with other enterprise systems (HRIS/ERP/CRM) such as Netsuite, SFDC, ADP, UKG, HubSpot is a plus
• High level of verbal & written communication skills, as well as the ability to help explain complex technical requirements to non-technical people.
• A capacity for working with minimal supervision in complex projects with considerable responsibility.
• Extensive experience designing and developing playbooks within CSM using the CSM Agent Workspace
• Thorough knowledge of SDLC.
