Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco. 100% on site position.

Activities:

• Product Classification: Accurately classify goods based on the Harmonized System Code (HSC) to ensure proper tariff and duty application for import/export processes.
• Compliance Management: Ensure all classifications adhere to local and international trade regulations, including customs laws and trade agreements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports justifying classification decisions for internal and external audits.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with logistics, procurement, legal, and compliance teams to optimize HSC classification workflows.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Keep up-to-date with changes to the Harmonized System (HS) Codes and adapt classifications to reflect any regulatory updates.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Customs, or related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in customs classification, trade compliance, logistics, or international trade.
• Familiarity with product classification tools and trade compliance software.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in english.
• Multilingual proficiency is a plus, especially in international trade environments (chinese)
• Certifications (Preferred): Certification in international trade, customs brokerage, or a related field (e.g., CCLS)
• Working Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product classification, customs compliance, or a related role.
• Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
