Position SummarySupport Finance in performing monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations. Prepare reports and analyses to meet management information needs. Responsible for review, confirmation and reconciliation of intercompany transactions, forecasting and financial control perspective. Special projects required in support of finance and operations. Support in developing OFS financial process and procedure documentation and Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Essential Responsibilities- Daily, monthly and weekly reports are prepared accurately and on time.
- General ledger is maintained, reconciled and properly supported in compliance with GAAP, ITT and Sarbanes Oxley policies.
- Work with the business as a partner to drive improved performance (profitability, working capital, productivity, etc.) and investment evaluation and appraisal.
- Streamline financial processes to improve processes and eliminate waste or eliminate the process if it is not value added.
- Learn and develop more effective methods to improve reporting and analysis needed to support the OFS financial and operations organization.
- Support in developing departmental policies and procedures and overall departmental team building.
Position RequirementsEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with CMA or MBA preferred, but not required based on experienceCREDENTIALS OR CERTIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE:-5 years of accounting/finance experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.Experience with general ledger, other tools used by the organization to manage the business (i.e. Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, SQL) is required.SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES- Requires strong PC skills (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
