About the Job

As part of the ERP Governance team this role is for an application specialist in the ERP suite led by SAP S/4HANA on prem system and it's supporting systems like Fiori. As a specialist you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management, compliance, and optimization of our SAP S/4HANA landscape. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance, and drive best practices for SAP S/4HANA governance. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role with hands on SAP system work.

Technical Governance:

• Define and implement technical governance policies, standards, and procedures for SAP S/4HANA systems.

• Audit the quality control of custom ABAP code, implement ABAP code based and external procedures to achieve consistent code quality. Examples - a TDD strategy, Mock Tests etc.

• Monitor system performance, security, and compliance with established guidelines.

• Identify and address technical risks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Maintain documentation related to technical governance processes.

Change Management:

• Evaluate and implement system changes, enhancements, and upgrades of the system.

• Coordinate with development teams, infrastructure, and security teams to manage change requests.

• Ensure adherence to change management processes.

Escalation Support

• Identify complex issues which need the additional expertise and may require escalation to higher support levels.

• Clearly document the issue, symptoms, troubleshooting steps taken, and relevant logs for efficient handoff.

• Collaborate with second-line or third-line support teams, including SAP support, to resolve escalated issues.

• Track the progress of escalated incidents and keep stakeholders informed of the resolution process.

Advanced Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization

• Analyze and diagnose technical issues reported by users or identified through system monitoring tools. Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements.

• Troubleshoot system errors, application malfunctions, and configuration problems within SAP S/4HANA. Collaborate with BASIS administrators to enhance system performance.
