Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with the ability to produce and analyze financial reports with a critical eye while ensuring data accuracy and consistency. This role requires someone who can effectively translate complex financial data into actionable insights for clients, with particular attention to U.S. business reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Client Update Reporting

• Pull together comprehensive results and meaningful insights from financial data
• Clearly distinguish between our work and the work of others for transparent reporting
• Critically analyze data to ensure accuracy and proactively flag discrepancies
• Follow standard operating procedures while identifying when data doesn't look correct and escalating concerns for review
• Ensure time periods align properly with the required reporting scope
• Exercise judgment to determine what information is relevant to present to clients
• Maintain a neat, standardized reporting style across all client communications
• Apply proper U.S. business formatting standards:
• Keep currencies appropriately separated
• Use U.S. date formats consistently

Credit Report Management

• Review Amazon audit claims and determine which are relevant to client accounts
• Issue credits where applicable, providing clear and thorough explanations to clients
• Flag irrelevant claims with detailed explanations of why they are not applicable
• Appropriately escalate issues when:
• Encountering confusion or uncertainty in the data
• Dealing with large credits that require additional review

Additional Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor account activity and flag significant changes that require attention
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail and quickly identify anomalies in financial data
• Contribute to process improvements for financial reporting and analysis

Requirements

• Required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Strong data analysis and financial reporting skills
• Experience working with U.S. businesses (familiarity with currency and date formatting standards)
• Ability to think critically, question inconsistencies, and ensure data integrity
• Comfortable with escalating concerns and collaborating for solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with financial analysis tools and software
• Preferred
• Previous experience as a financial analyst at Amazon (in any location)
• Experience with e-commerce financial analysis
• Knowledge of audit processes and credit management
• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills
