About the Role
The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the CPMO, collaborating directly with project teams to ensure timely publication, adherence to budget, and the consistent application of best practices. This position is critical to the success of the publishing process and involves close interaction with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external. The Project Coordinator works alongside Project Managers, providing support during high-activity periods and managing routine reporting, scheduling, and task tracking to ensure alignment with project goals.
This is a dynamic role, offering growth and development within a leading global publishing organization.
Responsibilities:
Project-level support to assist cross-functional teams in delivering on time and within budget, picking up tasks on-request as coordinated by Senior Project Coordinator.
Manage overdue tasks in project plans, sending reminders and escalating unresolved issues as necessary.
Preparation of standard and one-off reports to support teams and Project Managers.
Manage updates to the master dashboard, ensuring that project spaces are up-to-date and aligned with the master dashboard in advance of key meetings.
Data management – clone and apply bulk updates to our series data to ensure that our Bibliographic data is accurate.
Responsible for distributing metadata reports externally.
Map cost codes to project plans to provide spend forecasts driven by schedule data.
Coordinate and manage project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Assist in preparing status reports and presentations for stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication of project progress.
Budget administration: actioning change requests, budget upload to SAP and problem-solving with the team to improve accuracy of CCBT mapping.
Owners of reprint corrections, applying customer corrections and wider change initiatives where appropriate.
Compliance checks: Submit requests for rights and permissions checks for reuse of content in new series.
Contribute to the wider Macmillan Education group by taking part in cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
Support cross-team alignments within the BPO and wider CPMO, assisting with training junior colleagues as required.
Liaise with Customer Services to track and resolve customer queries.
As required, ad hoc content development work (correction checks, image tagging, for example, cross-component checking) as required to help teams meet their delivery targets.
