Summary:
We are seeking an experienced software engineer to design and develop internal tools and programming to support our hardware manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for building applications and utilities to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and optimize manufacturing workflows. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Python, JavaScript, and C++ programming to handle a variety of tasks from data pipelines to device-level fixes.
This is a full time on-site role at our Juarez, MX location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and build internal web applications, scripts, and utilities using Python, JavaScript, and C++
- Develop data pipelines and integration tools to connect manufacturing systems and databases
- Develops effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and standards.
- Participates in unit test case development and complex test scripts not limited to Mocha and Jasmine.
- Experience with Git/GitHub, Git Workflows and Linux administration, automated deployments.'
- Ownership of impact analysis and production support documentation.
- Executes all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) part of CI/CD Pipelines Test Frameworks.
- Implement process automation and workflow optimization solutions
- Troubleshoot and fix issues with manufacturing devices and equipment using low-level C++ programming
- Facilitate the development and execution of manufacturing test scripts to validate product quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, and IT to understand requirements and deliver high-impact solutions - Implement testing frameworks and best practices to ensure software quality and reliability
- Create design documentations, conduct design reviews, and code reviews
- Hands-on system debugging, and code optimization
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Strong english speaking skills
- Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and C++ programming languages
- Proficiency in working with relational databases and SQL querying.
- Cloud computing platform (Azure/AWS), Microservices, Scalable Messaging platform (KAKFA experience preferred)
- Experience building internal tools, data pipelines, and automation solutions for manufacturing or industrial environments
- Familiarity with developing and executing manufacturing test scripts
- Familiarity with agile software development, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
- SPA Framework (JET, React/Preact, Angular, Vue) experience is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and strong communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset and desire to continuously improve processes and technologies
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with manufacturing and manufacturing automation
- Knowledge about firmware development best practices including proper testing, documentation, debugging and code review.
- Experience developing bootloaders and firmware over the air update
- Experience with Nordic (or similar) Semiconductor platforms
- Experience with low power embedded devices
- Experience on evolving embedded sensor technologies and networks
- Experience with microcontrollers and driver development for embedded peripherals
- Knowing Android system, Linux kernel, device driver is a plus
