Position: Business Systems Analyst (EDI Specialist)
Location: Remote for Mexico
?Details of the role:
Business Systems Analyst (EDI Specialist) to support and optimize our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. The ideal candidate will analyze business processes, implement EDI solutions, and serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with EDI transactions, and the ability to troubleshoot and enhance EDI integrations.
Key responsibilities:
· Analyze business requirements and translate them into EDI system solutions.
· Implement, configure, and maintain EDI systems and integrations with internal and external partners.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for EDI-related issues, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution.
· Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and trading partners to optimize EDI transactions and processes.
· Develop and maintain EDI mapping and translation for ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and other industry standards.
· Manage EDI partner onboarding, setup, and testing processes.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data security policies, and EDI standards.
· Generate reports and documentation on EDI performance, errors, and transaction metrics.
· Provide training and support to internal teams regarding EDI best practices.
· Collaborate with ERP, supply chain, and other business applications teams to enhance data integration and workflow automation.
Required Skills:
· 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis with a focus on EDI.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis with a focus on EDI.
· Proficiency in EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
· Experience with EDI mapping tools, translators, and VANs.
· Ability to analyze complex business problems and provide effective solutions.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Experience with SQL, scripting languages, or integration tools is a plus.
· Strong understanding of EDI transaction mapping, troubleshooting duplicate demand, past-due forecasts, and ERP/EDI interactions.
