Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Education, Bilingual Education, Applied Linguistics, Language Sciences, CELTA, DELTA, ICELT.
- Minimum experience of 1 year as an english educator or subjects taught in english.
- Passionate about working with children or adolescents.
- Advanced English (spoken and written)
- Have a TOEFL and Cambridge certificate.
- Ideal that you have experience teaching Junior High.
Overview:
- Delivering innovative learning experiences to students to build knowledge of the linguistic content of the subject, as well as literature studies in the English language within the four main competences of the language: listening, reading, writing and speaking, in order to train leaders that influence society from a Christian, international, and critical thinking perspective.
- To develop the linguistic competences of the students so that they acquire a level that allows them to communicate –in different contexts– effectively in the English language, according to their grade level.
Main Responsibilities:
- Give English classes to students of the corresponding grade according to the curriculum implemented in the school and its pedagogical framework to guarantee the standards of institutional academic excellence.
- Review, grade and provide feedback to the evidence of student learning to monitor and support the improvement of student performance.
- Attend professional development sessions assigned by the school.
- Carry out data analysis and report on the results obtained by the students to adjust the methods of instruction in the class, differentiate teaching and innovate in pedagogical practices.
- Update the institutional grading system weekly to inform parents of the progress of the students.
- Design the daily planning and teaching materials corresponding to the annual curriculum implemented in the school
- Design the exams corresponding to the evaluation periods determined by the school.
- Attend professional development sessions assigned by the college.
- Work in coordination with counselors, in order to follow up, support and guide the students according to their needs.
- Support with the eventual substitution in the institution and in the additional activities that may be entrusted.
- Participate in the pedagogical, human and doctrinal courses assigned to her to carry out his position in the best way.
