Responsibilities:
The position has local scope and oversees environment health and occupational safety, security, and fire protection policies on both facilities at Reynosa.
Safety Culture Leadership: Establishes and promotes a safety culture by identifying training needs (e.g., analyzing trends/compliance), communicating goals and standards, working with managers to educate employees, delivering or evaluating training programs, and recognizing achievements.
Promoting and Monitoring EHS Policies: Monitors the effectiveness of all EHS policies, practices, and processes to assess their efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitoring EHS Performance: Monitors site EHS performance and provides routine and exception-based reports to site and global management.
Continuous Improvement in EHS: Identifies and maintains systems and processes for continuous improvement in EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) performance and compliance activities. Provides technical support and direction for EHS compliance and incident/accident prevention programs to site leadership.
Legal Compliance: Ensures all required EHS permits are obtained and maintained and submits reports required by permits and regulations.
Regulatory Updates: Stays abreast of local regulations and legislation and advises on the effects of changes.
Regulatory Agency Contact: Acts as the point of contact for Regulatory Agency inspections.
Periodic EHS Inspections: Conducts periodic EHS inspections to ensure and verify regulatory compliance.
Site-Specific Procedures: Ensures site-specific procedures and related operational controls are in place to manage EHS compliance and risk.
Corrective and Preventive Actions: Ensures that corrective and preventive actions are taken based on the results of all EHS inspections, assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
Resource Allocation: Anticipates and assigns necessary resources to meet short-term and long-term EHS objectives and allocates required project resources.
Analysis and Solutions: Conducts thorough and careful data analysis, gathers critical information, effectively allocates/reassesses required organizational resources, and delivers quality solutions to EHS issues.

Requirements:
Bachelor or Engineering degree. Master's degree.
5+ years in management of EHS Programs including training formal auditing qualification for EHS management system preferred.
Knowledge and awareness of regional/local regulations.
Experience leading change in a manufacturing environment and managing direct reports
Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills and presentation skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Handle changing priorities and use good judgment in different situations.
Good computer skills Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Interpretation Course in the ISO 14001:2015 standard, Induction in Legal Requirements in Environmental Matters, Training in the documents of the Environmental System, Attention and Response to Disasters, Operational Controls that correspond to them, Determination of Significant Environmental Aspects and Impacts that correspond to them, EHS Policy and Environmental Objectives.
