We are looking for a Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS, and providing accurate, timely financial reporting. This position plays a key role in month-end closing, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, fixed asset accounting, and tax compliance. The Senior Accountant will also support audits, process improvements, VAT recovery and mentor junior accounting staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.

2. Responsible for monthly and year-end closing activities to ensure deadlines are met.

3. Monthly and Annually tax reconciliation.

4. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax rules and regulations.

5. Responsible for Fixed Assets activities.

6. Ensure compliance with Mexican electronic accounting requirements (Contabilidad Electrónica), including timely preparation and submission of files (chart of accounts, trial balances, journal entries) to SAT. (Electronic accounting)

7. Manage digital accounting processes in accordance with SAT guidelines, ensuring alignment with local tax codes and CFDI validation.

8. Import & Export compliance.

9. Perform monthly currency exchange calculations and revaluations of foreign currency balances in accordance with Mexican financial reporting standards and local regulations.

10. Help External Auditor with ISSIF and SIPRED information.

11. Support and coordination with VAT refund recovery.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

· Knowledge in Manufacture Accounting

· Experience in the minimum of 5 plus years of experience required in the position

· Intermediate proficiency in both verbal and written English communication

· Strong multi-tasking skills; organized and attentive to details

· Proficient in Excel and Accounting software( Contpaqi, SAP, ect.,)
