Descripción
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
Preferred: Master's degree in Financial Management or Planning.
Experience: 5 or more years in accounting, with knowledge of the automotive industry preferred.
English (conversational) is essential.
Position Purpose:
•Guarantee financial results for senior management by ensuring the correct recording of the entity's financial and operational transactions, as well as the proper use of company resources.
Knowledge:
• General accounting: Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Costs and Expenses, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets.
• Knowledge of basic financial statements.
• Acting as a partner to the General Manager and supporting all Department Leaders as their internal financial advisor.
• Experience working with a US-based company.
• Experience analyzing and explaining financial results in both MXN and USD.
• Experience presenting monthly financial results and the annual budget to a US-based senior management team.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions and reporting.
• Experience preparing investment analyses for fixed asset purchases.
• Experience leading a team of 8 to 10 people.
• Determining and analyzing cash flows and working capital.
• Recording raw and indirect material entries in the ERP system.
• Managing and controlling standard costs and production-related costs.
• Inventory control and monitoring.
• Controlling operating expenses and monitoring them against monthly forecasts.
• Fixed asset management.
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
• Knowledge of accounting and tax standards.
• Attending external audits related to accounting and tax issues.
• Designing target and forecast strategies with executives.
• Ensuring efficient financial planning.
• Performing detailed financial diagnoses.
• Maintaining contact with customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
• Reviewing standard and incremental costs.
• Valuing inventory.
• Reviewing the client portfolio and aging balances, ensuring no overdue accounts.
• Reviewing accounts payable balances and ensuring correct accounting records.
• Correctly recording fixed assets and their monthly depreciation.
• Updating weekly cash flows.
• Verifying that transactions are correctly recorded in the accounting records.
• Executing monthly and annual closing activities.
• Ensuring compliance with tax and legal obligations.
• Monthly reconciliation with suppliers and intercompany accounts.
• Preparing monthly financial forecasts.
