Document #: QLt-CTI-JD-XXXX Rev A Date: Page 1 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: Monterrey, Mexico Reports To: MX Plant Manager (liaison with Corporate Quality Manager) Position Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining product and process quality throughout the supply chain and manufacturing stages to ensure compliance with customer specific requirements, while maintaining accountability to Climatech's quality system. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Interface with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement departments to identify and mitigate quality risks early in the process through an established APQP approach. • Establish product specific inspection specifications and any associated FMEA's and control plans. • Prepare the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions using inputs from sales, operations, and manufacturing departments according to customer PSW requirements. • Coordinate and execute First Article Inspections (FAI), ensuring full documentation and traceability to ensure conformance to internal quality standards and customer requirements. • Monitor and support incoming inspection processes for raw materials and supplier parts, to include assistance with tracking supplier quality performance. • Conduct and document in-process inspections to verify product conformity with internal standards and customer requirements at key stages of production. • Maintain inspection records, test data, and quality documentation in accordance with QMS requirements and systems. • Support resolution of all nonconformance types through structured root cause analysis and corrective action (RCA/CAPA). • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards such as ISO 9001 and participate in internal and external audits as needed. • Identify quality trends and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA) and drive best practices within the quality department. Skills and Abilities: • Bachelor's degree in quality or engineering is preferred. ASQ certification(s) a plus. • Solid understanding of quality management systems and applicable industry standards. • Proficient in interpreting engineering part drawings and applying GD&T principles. • Hands-on experience with inspection measuring tools, inspection techniques, and quality software. • Ability to conduct product studies, interpret results, and perform any required statistical analysis. • Strong organizational and communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish, and able to work independently and cross-functionally. • Computer literacy and experience with various enterprise-wide software applications. Document #: QLt-CTI-JD-XXXX Rev A Date: Page 2 Physical Requirements: • Ability to work on their feet for the entirety of a shift. • Standing, bending, walking, lifting, and carrying to fulfill production requirements. • Capability to lift material or tooling weighing up to 50 lbs. • Physical ability to push/cart material weighing up to 1,800 lbs. • Staying focused on the task at hand.
