The Quality supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all customer and Aptiv requirements comply with final Assembly and Cutting area processes, comply 100% with customer-specific requirements, control plan execution, and PFMEA updates.
Main responsibilities:
Ensure proper administration of the quality inspectors and improve resources available.
Ensure proper workloads for quality inspectors at FP area.
Ensure presenteeism in the full process area.
Meeting with Auditors to review problems reported by the previous shift and communicate to mfg. technicians.
Ensure proper follow up for the product audit at full process areas.
Ensure proper execution of the product audit.
Walk Product audit by quality technician levels.
Request action plans for the demerits of the Product audit.
Ensure proper follow up for process audit and LPA's audits
Request action plans for the demerits of the tiered audit.
Validate key stations and certification.
Secure operator certifications at key stations.
Walk of respect for the material / 5S's in FP area.
Ensure control of non-conforming product, rework process and disposition of nonconforming product.
Ensure that control of non-conforming product is handled according procedure requirements.
Ensure that documentation and records for the non-conforming product is maintained and preserved.
Ensure proper disposition of the suspect and non-conforming product.
Ensure corrective action implementation and follow up for internal and external complaints.
Ensure that all corrective action related with the full process area from internal and external complaints are followed and implemented.
Ensure that the all information related to internal and external complaints is deployed and updated in a properly way at the full process area (Quality Gates, VPS, Process Letters, Work Methods, Fast Response Tracker)
Ensure that the effectiveness of the corrective action is validated with different tools defined for this purpose (DPS, LPA's, Fast Response, etc.)
Background:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any other related
Intermediate English level
+5 years of experience in the automotive industry and harness
Experience in cutting area and/or Final assembly is a must
Knowledge of quality tools: Ishikawa, 5 whys, 8Ds
Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with autonomy and in a team working environment.
