About the Role – Sales Representative (North Region)
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to grow sales face-to-face with feet on the turf while consistently improving the quality and performance of the assigned portfolio. Experience with the automotive aftermarket industry would be a competitive advantage, as the Sales Representative is responsible for identifying and developing the needs of customers, distributors, and large spare parts companies that provide auto parts to the aftermarket based on a deep knowledge of the unique features of the ever-changing Mexican automotive fleet. New customer account development is an integral part, as is maximizing sales from existing accounts.
- Pursue sales opportunities and drive to fruition through functional areas of the company
- Manage sales and margin performance for assigned accounts
- Co-manage pricing for assigned accounts
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure proper product availability and avoid excess inventory
- Profile potential new accounts
- Visit customer facilities and attend trade shows when required
- Develop an extensive, detailed and thorough working knowledge of each assigned account
- Interface at an advanced level with customer service to ensure service levels
- Provide feedback from customer base to management and communicate areas in need of attention, such as service levels, pertinent industry information, market pressures, and others
- Develop a thorough in-depth knowledge of the industry, market place, product line and competition
- Ensures the prompt resolution of customer concerns regarding pricing, deliveries, quality, and warranties
- Promote a collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and cross-training initiatives to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development
- Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management
About What You Will Bring to the Team
?
- Major degree in business and commercial areas, automotive mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Business development experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
- Advanced skills in B2B sales, negotiations, catalog management, and order processing.
- Strong analytical skills to identify sales and growth opportunities.
- Mastery of technological tools, hardware, software, online, and/or cloud resources
- Develop business relationships with existing and potential clients in the automotive aftermarket industry.
- Identify sales and growth opportunities in the market.
- Manage product catalogs and process orders efficiently.
- Carry out effective negotiations to close favorable trade agreements.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the ever-changing Mexican automotive market.
