Position: Outside Sales Executive

Overview:

Sales/business development from shipping/freight forwarding/logistics industries

Should have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform outbound calls to potential and current customers
• Close sales and meet monthly sales goals in accordance with development plan
• Qualify customers' sales potential and plan activities to increase book of business
• Analyze relevant customers for targeted sales campaigns and build a work plan to increase sales
• Manage the sales process with potential and existing customers to maximize short and long term results
• Build, maintain and manage relationships with customers in the assigned portfolio
• Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell to existing customers
• Enter and update customer information in the database
• Follow and use sales best practice and tools
• Monitor and report sales goals/targets/KPIs in line with company's objectives
• Forecast sales activities and set personal/company goals accordingly
• Achieve sales productivity standards including 25 sales leads per quarter and 10 face to face customer visits per week.
• Actively communicate with other internal areas for issue resolution.

Requirements:

• A college degree with at least 3 years in sales capacity from the ocean carrier industry, focused on export business development, can be either on a shipping line or at a freight forwarder.
• Knowledge of the Mexican shipping market.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Preferred candidates from International Business or logistics related careers.
• Commercial acumen and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (Spanish & English).
• Good Communication in English (written and spoken).
• Very energetic and result oriented.
• Computer savvy, general knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new systems
