Position: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Hybrid position.
?Details of the role:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the HR Onboarding and Offboarding processes, along with the Compensation & Benefits activities associated. This role involves managing the pre-payroll processing, maintaining HR records, manage all the Onboarding and Offboarding activities, such as contract agreements, policy signatures, assistance with ISO certifications. The HR Generalist will work closely with both HR and Finance teams to enhance payroll processes, handle employee inquiries related to Compensation & Benefits, and ensure confidentiality and accuracy of Employees' data. Key responsibilities also include managing reporting, auditing and supporting compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Pre-Onboarding Process
· Manage Employee Screenings: Background & Checks Verifications, and Drug Test (if applicable).
· Draft and Extend Job Offers.
· Request Data gathering process within local Career Portal system (Samba).
· Draft and Extend Employment Contracts & Agreements, Onsite or Telework (if applicable).
· Prepare Hiring package for Remote Hires.
Onboarding Process
· Present Onboarding Sessions for New Hires.
· Calculate Cost Rate
· Add Cost Rates in Samba system.
Offboarding Process:
· Manage the entire Offboarding cycle ensuring compliance with local labour laws.
· Draft of Offboarding documents for all terminations.
· Assist in the Terminations execution.
· Update Onboarding / Offboarding shared tracker.
· Ensure Termination of HR Systems and trigger IT tickets.
Compensation & Benefits:
· Inclusion of New Hires to the HR Systems: Contpaq, Samba, HR Masterlist.
· Benefits Package Management: Enrolment and Terminations within Health & Life Insurance.
· Manage IDSE Movements: Additions, Terminations and Salary Increases within the Social Security Institute Portal (IMSS).
· Management of Payroll Inputs of ever payroll cycle in Contpaq system.
Required Skills:
· Minimum of 4+ years of experience in HR, ideally in IT Industry and Bilingual roles.
· Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Psychology or related field.
· Advanced English, B2 or C1.
· Experience in massive hires.
· Experience managing Onboarding & Offboarding processes.
· Time Zone Flexibility.
· Continuous Improvement mindset.
· Ideal Payroll Expertise: Basic understanding of payroll systems, payroll processes, and Mexican payroll laws. Ideally Contpaq Nomina's' system.
Good to have skills:
· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse payroll data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate payroll calculations.
· Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in processing payroll transactions, data entry, and record-keeping.
· Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment and payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
· Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Proficiency in Payroll Software (Contpaq, Aspel, ADP, Workday) & HR software (e.g., HRIS systems) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees and management.
· Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with employees, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive situations professionally.
· Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and handle time-sensitive projects efficiently.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive approach to addressing issues, identifying solutions, and implementing effective changes.
· Knowledge of Employment Laws: Advanced understanding of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in HR practices. Advanced knowledge of the Mexican Federal Labor Law.
· Adaptability: Willingness to take on new responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
