SHARED SERVICE CONTROLLER
Description:
This position is responsible for guarantee appropriated control, report, performance and compliance of all accounting activities for Mexico operations (Branches and Plant) and Latin America, including compliance with government, internal and external auditors, MEXGAAP, USGAAP and IRFS standards. Additionally, this position is responsible for perform all accounting reports to Hussmann corporation and manage daily activities of the accounting, tax, compliance and treasury.
Main Responsibilities:
•Ensure proper representation of the financial statements for Mexico, including but not limited to the balance sheet and income statement. Perform reconciliations and analytical analysis of all accounts on monthly basis and prepare proper backup/support for their balances, guarantee that any decision subject to judgment (such as accruals) are properly set according MEXGAAP/USGAAP/IRFS/FICAP standards and the right level of approval is documented
•Ensure appropriate review, timely report and compliance of all regulatory reports for local and US/JP regulatory entities such as tax authorities, government, internal and external auditors.
•Establish clear and effective process for daily activities in Treasury, review cash flow and Fcst.
•Review test findings within the Internal/External Audit Team, facilitate the remediation of control gaps, and escalate possible critical issues to the senior management of the company. Identifies areas of potential improvement for key processes and procedures and supports the management of the related processes and procedures.
•Act as business partners for the Branch and Plant Controllers, as well as Latam Managing Director and Mty Plant Mgr, acting together in order to guarantee minimal exposure of the financial statements, adequate accounting report, elimination of rework and support for decision making.
Requirements:
1. 3 - 5 years of experience.
2. Experience in manufacturing environment, multinational company and public accounting firm (audting – big 4) desirable.
3. Must speak and write fluent English.
4. Knowledge in taxes and statutory reports, financial accounting, SOX audits.
5. Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
