Position Summary:

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for developing, configuring, and managing our application servers and the software they host. In this role, you will analyze and maintain system performance, focusing on mitigating server stress and optimizing resource usage to ensure seamless operations across our infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our internal systems, streamlining processes, and fostering a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and maintain application servers to support various software applications.
• Manage and monitor system performance, including server stress and resource usage, to ensure efficiency and uptime.
• Automate deployment processes, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management using DevOps tools.
• Troubleshoot server and application issues, implementing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve software delivery processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive system performance management.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met across infrastructure and applications.
• Optimize cloud and on-premise environments for cost-effectiveness, performance, and scalability.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience with server administration (Linux, Windows) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and load balancing techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize system performance.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
