Descripción
The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for safeguarding the organization's electronic data and IT systems. This role involves developing and implementing robust security policies, processes, and standards to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT-related risks and have a proven track record of translating security requirements into effective technical controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Policy Development: Collaborate with IT leadership to establish and maintain comprehensive IT security and compliance policies that align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Security Governance: Work closely with the PMO and audit teams to ensure that security is integrated into project planning, development, and implementation processes.
- Compliance Management: Partner with relevant departments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet security requirements and adhere to organizational standards.
- Security Awareness: Promote security awareness among employees through training programs and communication initiatives.
- Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans to effectively manage security breaches and minimize their impact.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the security budget to ensure that resources are allocated effectively to achieve security objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- CISM, CISP, or equivalent certifications.
- 5+ years of experience in IT or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in information security.
- Advanced English language proficiency.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of IT security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001).
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption).
- Proven ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Willing to relocate to Puerto Vallarta.
