Position Summary:

This position is responsible for support of General Ledger, specifically for month end closing, account reconciliations and analysis, and management while requiring intermediate supervision.

Essential Functions:

This position is to process and supervise on the following functions:

• Fixed assets and account reconciliations

• Monthly journal entries (Capital Asset Accruals, Impairment Accruals etc)

• Capital orders, assets under construction, capital budgets, year end processing, tax depreciations, opening/ closing periods and maintaining attributes on existing accounts

• Preparation of Mexican Fixed Assets and IFRS 16 Lease Reporting Disclosures

• Managing monthly IFRS 16 postings and ensuring lease rent expense accounts are reviewed and all expenses reclassed properly

• Prepare Data Capturing Sheet for IFRS 16 lease

• Provide and complete Fixed Asset and Lease information required for Mexican Tax Filing.

• Accounting for dual spend Intra company projects

• Year-end processing

• Annual audit

Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of account reconciliations, accounting principles and procedures.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment

• SAP or other ERP experience preferred

Skills:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)

• Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management

• Advanced independent analytical and problem solving skills

• Shows commitment to process improvement

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required

• Accounting preferred
