About the Position:
As our Collection Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and executing effective collection strategies to minimize delinquencies and maximize recoveries. You will lead, guide, and advise a team of collection specialists, ensuring compliance with the department's objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and improve collection policies and procedures.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the collections department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for team and individual collections.
• Analyze collection data to identify trends and implement proactive strategies to mitigate risk.
• Manage and resolve escalating collection issues and customer disputes.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to collections.
• Recruit, train, and mentor collections staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and customer service, to optimize processes.
• Prepare periodic reports on collection activities and performance for senior management.
• Stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging technologies in collections.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience (5+ years) in collections, essential for Automotive Finance.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of collection laws and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement successful collection strategies.
• Analytical and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of collection software.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor's degree related to Business Administration, Finance, etc.
