The Corporate Communications Specialist Level 3 is a key member of the Digital Workplace team, responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive internal communication strategies and programs that effectively support and promote the IT organization's initiatives to the global employee base. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, exceptional writing and editing skills, and technical proficiency to produce high-quality communication materials across various platforms. The specialist will work closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging communication that enhances employee understanding and adoption of IT products and services. A key focus will be the design and delivery of video-based training to enhance user proficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Communication Planning:
Develop and implement strategic communication plans to effectively promote IT products, services, and initiatives to the global employee base.
Conduct thorough audience analysis to understand the specific needs of diverse user groups and tailor communication strategies accordingly.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Content Creation and Management:
Create and manage compelling and engaging content for a variety of communication channels, including intranet portals, newsletters, email communications, video content, and presentations.
Ensure all communication materials consistently adhere to brand guidelines, tone, and voice.
Write and edit technical documentation and user guides to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for a global audience.
Multimedia Development and Training:
Design, develop, and deliver engaging live and recorded video-based training sessions for IT products and services, tailored to different user skill levels and global audiences.
Produce and edit high-quality video content to support IT initiatives, training programs, and informational updates.
Utilize graphic design skills, including proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, to create and modify visual assets for presentations, promotional materials, and digital platforms.
Collaboration and Project Management:
Collaborate effectively with IT teams and stakeholders across different regions to gather information and ensure accurate representation of complex technical concepts in communication materials.
Manage communication projects from conception through to successful completion, adhering to deadlines and project management methodologies.
Actively participate in cross-functional projects, providing communication expertise and support to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
Platform Administration:
Serve as the primary system administrator for the Video Content Management platform, ensuring optimal functionality, user experience, and content organization.
Manage, maintain, and contribute content to the company intranet, ensuring information is current, relevant, and easily accessible.
Quality Assurance:
Review and edit all communication materials meticulously for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
Develop and maintain communication style guides and templates to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT communications or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies for a global organization.
Technical Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for graphic design and image editing.
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering engaging live and recorded video training sessions.
Experience in video production and editing, including scripting, filming, and post-production.
Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace productivity suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Meet, Calendar, and Sites).
Experience managing and maintaining content on Intranet sites.
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specific video content management platforms.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
Experience in developing communication strategies for change management initiatives.
Knowledge of instructional design principles.
