?GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Director of Programmatic will oversee the strategic planning and development of integrated display media, encompassing desktop, mobile, and video marketing campaigns, for Rise Interactive's clients across various industries. This role requires collaboration with the Group Media Director of Client Service, the Senior Vice President of Media Strategy, and other channel leaders to continually enhance engagement and maximize opportunities within the display channel.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for display advertising and a comprehensive understanding of its significance within the realm of marketing communications. They must demonstrate expertise in display, mobile, video, connected TV, and programmatic marketing, coupled with the foresight to drive the development of display media practices. Ultimately, the candidate will serve as an organizational leader, fostering collaboration and innovation across the company.
The responsibilities of this position include overseeing display strategy with a focus on segmentation, targeting effectiveness, and performance optimization. Additionally, the role involves managing the execution of display media campaigns for Rise Interactive's clients. Success in this position will be measured by the ability to discover and implement innovative approaches to leveraging data and segmentation, with the objective of enhancing the customer experience, managing costs effectively, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and guide direct reports and team members, including display media traffickers, traders, and managers.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients by anticipating and addressing their needs and challenges, while designing and implementing integrated programs that surpass client objectives.
- Create measurable engagement programs specific to display media that align with strategic goals and remain within budget constraints.
- Oversee financial management, including budget allocation, client billing, team productivity, and account profitability.
- Identify and cultivate additional business opportunities within the existing client base; lead the development of new business proposals and pitches for the agency; and deliver compelling and insightful presentations to both clients and prospects.
- Contribute to the development and execution of display strategies for one or more assigned clients.
- Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process when required for the creation of display programs.
- Collaborate within teams to educate and ideate, supporting planning efforts in the formulation of integrated display strategies, adherence to best practices, and fostering innovation.
- Assist in building and strengthening relationships with display media vendors, technologies, networks, and direct sites.
- Partner with strategic and analytical professionals to identify business needs and opportunities, aiding in the development of innovative measurement methods and analyses for display strategies and experiences.
- Lead the creation and implementation of best practices in display media for clients across Rise Interactive.
- Guide discussions with clients to define success metrics (pre- and post-campaign) and establish performance benchmarks.
- Consistently communicate updates and developments related to display media to broader teams.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of programmatic media buying for display, video, mobile
- Firm understanding of Ad Serving, DSP, DMP, Cross Device, DCO, PMP media technologies
- Experience with web-based research tools and methodologies and digital analytics
- Strong understanding of media planning, distribution, and syndication of content
- Evidence of facilitating and initiating creative thinking in the digital space: content, media, social, activation
- Candidate should have a hunger for/be a participant in: new technology, new content solutions, display events and developments
