Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to the Plant production areas on high voltage battery, E/E and relevant quality topics through measurement and testing.
- Support PMP problem management process, leading containment development and evaluation of countermeasures.
- Manage the complete process of calibration and maintenance of equipment under your responsibility, from planning and the purchase process to completion. Properly document in the calibration management system.
- Ensure the continuous improvements for processes, methods, and tools within your area of responsibility.
- Lead root-cause analysis of pre-series and series produced High Voltage Batteries, including conducting complex High Voltage Battery electrical systems analysis and test activities (both static and dynamic).
- Organize and lead improvement process on analysis activities within the TWA network and external laboratory partners.
- Conduct tests and investigations using material testing methods and analysis possibilities, including, but not limited to:
- HV battery-specific test equipment to determine e.g. dielectric strength and insulation resistance.
- Failure analysis of E/E components (e.g. cables, sensors and ECU) and HV batteries from series production.
- Recording of relevant electrical and mechanical parameters of the HV battery systems.
- Performing X-ray analysis, CT analysis and microscopy (optical and SEM).
- Mechanical deconstruction of the HV battery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Engineering/Product Development, Automotive electrical systems analysis or Manufacturing Quality.
- 3+ years of professional experience in electrical problem solving.
- Advanced knowledge in materials properties, including mechanical, electrical, thermal, chemical properties, materials testing and characterization techniques, such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing.
- Experience with processing methods, including casting, forming, welding, additive manufacturing and electrical joining methods.
- Fluency in English.
