We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Junior Accountant to join our Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable transactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.
- Prepare and process receipts and payments.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing issues.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Create and manage metadata for entities in Oracle and JD Edwards.
- Modify and update metadata based on requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct quality checks and data structure validations.
- Act as a point of contact for metadata-related inquiries and confirmations.
- Ensure data hygiene by suggesting merges, deactivations, and cleaning metadata as needed.
- Support Oracle and JDE roll-outs related to master data.
- Participate in master data projects, such as procurement clean-up exercises.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication, in English/Spanish and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
