The finance function plays an important role in supporting the business, and the finance intern will be assigned to a Global team and will have the opportunity to work with our Controllership team for GE Gas Power Legal Entities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands on finance experience, with significant knowledge on the business finance structure.

Job Description

The candidate will gain a valuable insight into the operation of a successful business supporting PMx Americas Services Ops Finance team during monthly actitivies and closing. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide an excellent start into a career in finance. The responsibilities of this position include tasks such as the following

Core activities:

• Analysis of project accounting, work with estimates and revenue recognition rules.
• Manage PowerMax ERP
• Partner with Operations and Fulfillment to achieve outcomes. Would work on
• Contract margin reviews
• Pacing validation
• Monthly & quarterly closing activities
• Account reconciliation, assisting with Stat & Tax audits by providing appropriate data.

Requirements:

• Active student of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related with at least a year to graduate.
• Proficient English speaker.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Previous experience with ERP (PowerMax, Oracle) desired.
