Be an active participant in the development of the power systems team, including the development of procedures, templates and workflows for reports.

What You Will Do
- Develop and review generic and user-defined models for initial and final submissions of generating facilities.
- Create and review system-level models for electrical analysis in steady-state and transient conditions, covering load flow studies, short circuits, protective device coordination, grounding systems analysis, among others.
- Coordinate with lead design engineers on system studies and their impact on facility design.
- Perform testing and model validation for clients as a subject matter expert.
- Collaborate to innovate procedures and processes for model development and power plant testing.
- Create intellectual property that positions DEPCOM as a leader in services and support. Identify and test new technologies to optimize personnel productivity.
- Manage a database of equipment models provided by DEPCOM's vendors and preferred partners for use in multiple projects.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- Bachelor or higher degree in electrical or related engineering with professional registration (Cedula Profesional).
- Relevant professional experience in power system analysis in transient and steady analysis.
- Experience using power systems analysis software, such as PSSE/PSCAD
- Understanding of detailed modeling and equivalent modeling, and ability to flag unreasonable model values or system level constraints.
- Substation Field Experience, including point-to-point wiring, equipment selection, and general design.
- Fluent in English oral and written communication.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Knowledge of NERC and Regional ISO/Utility Model Validation and testing requirements
- Proficiency using ETAP
- Hands-on expertise in programing LISP, .NET, Python or Dynamo programming
- Knowledge of template drawings, sheet-set manager, and smart-blocks
- Substation, gen-tie and switchyard design experience
- Ability to travel to US during short periods (Valid passport and visa)
