IT Mexico Intern

Role Summary/Purpose

Contribute to the overall design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance and integration of Analytics and Software Products, project management applied to the Process improvement and Lean practices in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain domain. This position will be supporting key operations for Wabtec sites in Mexico.

Essential Responsibilities

• Project Management entry level
• Administrative and documentation activities
• Applications development/maintenance intermediate level
• Power BI design and new developments entry level
• Develop, execute, and maintain key metrics to support business operations
• Create adhoc reports from Datawarehouses to support IT MX Sites
• Responsible for all technical documentation of the developed tool's code/functionality
• Responsible for support, operation, and update of the developed tools during the assigned work period
• Responsible of creating /optimizing existing framework of software developments with MS EXCEL (VBA), MS ACESS or similar technologies
• Tools and Reports are generated based on SQL Datawarehouse brought into the Tools as well as user input entry level
• Support the Deployment of Global Pillar Apps for MX Sites
• Power Automate (creation of WF) for diverse projects entry level
• Able to work in Process Improvement to support business operations
• Able to Map and understand users process and requirements needs to create user stories

Desired Characteristics:

Hands on experience using below on applications development projects:

• MS Office - Advanced
• Power Automate – Basic
• Databases Management and Transactions with SQL – Basic
• Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, Angular, etc.) - Basic
• JAVA EE (Spring, Play, Hibernate, Struts, etc) - Intermediate
• Python - Basic
• Power BI – Basic
• Students at least 12 months prior graduation

· Ability to work effectively on a team

· Verbal communications skills

· Able to fluently speak and write in English
