Senior Data Engineer Snowflake - DBT

Job Summary

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and solutions to enable our client to harness the power of the data for further analytics. The engineer will work with modern data technologies, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake and DBT (Data Build Tool) to automate, build, test and maintain the data infrastructure. Additionally, it is the expectation that people participate actively in all aspects of the data lifecycle and provide recommendations aligning to best practices within the process.

What do you need to come aboard?

• Passionate data engineer with 5+ years of experience, with a focus on designing and implementing data pipelines
• Strong expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and how integrates across with cloud data platforms and tooling to fully orchestrate data pipelines in large scale projects
• Expertise in Snowflake and/or Databricks – be able to differentiate what makes these data platforms different from traditional data warehousing solutions, and how to model and stage data all the way from ingestion to ready for consumption layer
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of database systems
• Python skills are recommended
• Experience with data integration, data processing, and data quality
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools including Git, Docker and automation tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions among others
• Experience using any of the big cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) data services are recommended; Azure preferred
• Excellent English written and spoken
