Introduction to the Role
We are looking for a passionate HR professional who is dedicated to helping others succeed. Someone who is able to connect with the people of Mobik Retail, motivate, and inspire them to achieve fantastic results. Poise and an engaging, empathetic communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm is the key to achieving the goals of this position. The work here involves driving towards results by ensuring the commitment and buy-in of others. While the job requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved with and through people. This person will create and own the policies, processes, and programs that support our people and business. They will strategize together with the People & Culture Director to implement our People Strategy within the organization so that we might create and influence our culture, processes, policies, and growth opportunities to attract, retain, and help our top-talent collaborators to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer programs, policies, and guidelines to support our people strategy that aligns our workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
- Coordinate compensation, benefits, and perks.
- Develop employee training and development programs and opportunities, including overseeing onboarding and developing ongoing personal and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure the overall well-being, health, and safety of employees.
- Oversee the talent sourcing, recruitment, and retention initiatives.
- Manage, grow, and develop the human resources department.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a performance management program and strategies.
- Discipline staff when necessary, using appropriate techniques; release staff when necessary, using appropriate and legally defensible procedures.
- Create and maintain records including employee files, department records, metrics and benchmarking data, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsible for as a Leader
- Living the Mobik Retail values and encouraging them within all team members.
- Developing the HR Approach according to the established People Strategy.
- Developing talents of individuals by coaching and mentoring.
- Stimulating teamwork as a high-performance strategy to achieve team goals.
- Inspiring the team with positive energy and drive.
- Establish a positive, healthy, and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.
Responsible for as a Manager
- Responsible for setting department goals and their execution & achievement.
- Defining project plans to achieve organizational goals.
- Collaborating with cross-functional team members to achieve goals.
- Coaching and developing direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Education: College education or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Leader role.
- Experience leading and developing direct reports.
- A confident self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Preferred: Experience working in multinational company environments.
- Preferred: Experience with warehouse-specific compliance and labor laws.
- Preferred: Experience with Human-Centered Design or Design Thinking Practices.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other productivity tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to international work environments.

Work Environment:
- Primarily in-office in Polanco, with weekly trips to warehouse and occasional remote work flexibility.
- Fast-paced and deadline-driven with a need for high responsiveness.
