Job Summary:

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and the protection of the environment at the company's facilities. This individual will lead the implementation of programs and policies related to occupational safety, workplace hygiene, and environmental protection, ensuring compliance with current regulations, promoting a safety and prevention culture, and effectively managing occupational risks. Additionally, they will be responsible for continuous training of staff and coordinating emergency brigades and response protocols to incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and oversee programs that comply with national and international legal requirements, including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
• Create, implement, and monitor environmental safety policies
• Monitor adherence to all relevant safety, hygiene, environmental, and civil protection regulations at the local and global levels.
• Perform internal and external audits
• Maintain the safety equipment inventory, conduct periodic safety inspections
• Design and deliver training programs on safety, health, and environmental topics a
• Monitor and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive actions.
• Coordinate and train emergency brigades
• Supervise the management and distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) and work clothing
• Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, health, and environmental performance, driving continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures,
• Oversee and collaborate with the medical and security contractos to ensure effective safety and health protocols.

Education:

• University degree in Industrial, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• Certifications: ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications are highly desirable.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in occupational safety, health, and environmental roles, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Experience with thermoforming, pressing, painting processes, and automated machinery.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, an
• Knowledge of Mexican regulations from STPS, SSA, and SEMARNAT
• Advanced English, with the ability to engage in fluid conversations.
