The Role

Responsible to designing and implementing quality control systems, developing and conducting tests, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and collaborating with teams to implement corrective actions when needed to ensure our products meet industry and company standards, customer expectations, and legal requirements.

The Responsabilities

1. Ensures that products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.

2. Conducts inspections and tests on raw materials and finished products, document and communicate any findings.

3. Identifies and resolves quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions to continuously improves quality system and processes, Supports coordination and reporting of NCR's.

4. Develops and implements quality control plans and procedures.

5. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve product design and manufacturing processes.

6. Maintain, update and communicate quality documentation and records.

7. Educates and trains employees on quality standards and procedures.

8. Lead failure analysis technician to identify root cause on customer returns to determine warranty claims and establish corrective actions.

9. Prepare and share reports with management, customer representatives and/or end customer.

10. Support Supplier Quality Engineer to perform local audits and request preventive and corrective actions

11. Supports Quality Tech/Lab Tech to define disposition of Non-Conforming Material.

12. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to close and dispose Non-Conforming Material requests.

13. Lead Quality Tech to assure adherence on defined calibration process.

14. Responsible for supporting the site PFMEA activity that identifies and mitigates all identified potential risks using the appropriate quality tools. Supports all process reviews

Support triple certification ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

The Skills/Background

· B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronic or Manufacturing Engineering; specialized master's degree desirable.

· Fully bilingual (Spanish & English)

· Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer (3 years minimum) or similar role in a manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments.

· Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies

· Leading people experience.

· Proven experience of instilling best practice within a manufacturing operational environment.

· Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities (familiar with six-sigma / lean manufacturing environment)

· Team work attitude.

· Understanding or experience of an analytical approach (continuous improvement, control and monitoring) using qualitative and quantitative Quality management tools and techniques desirable.

· Requires excellent interpersonal skills and communications. Ability to mentor and train personnel.

· Oral and writing communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and superior organizational abilities.
