Intugo, in partnership with a U.S.-based, veteran-owned electrical contracting firm with over a decade of experience, is seeking a QC Inspector and Safety Manager to join our growing remote team. This company, located in Orange County, California, has built a strong reputation for reliability and service, proudly supporting diverse commercial clients, federal agencies, and military installations across the United States.
As QC Inspector and Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of electrical engineering and construction projects. You'll be responsible for performing remote inspections, verifying code compliance, enforcing safety standards, and helping maintain a culture of accountability and excellence. This is a great opportunity to work with an experienced team that values precision, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical construction QA/QC or a related field.
- Proven understanding of electrical codes (NEC) and electrical construction practices.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles.
- Experience conducting safety audits and developing safety programs.
- Familiarity with electrical plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software (a plus).
- Ability to effectively utilize video conferencing and document sharing tools for remote inspections
and audits.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, Certified Safety Professional) are highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance/Quality Control:
- Thoroughly review electrical project plans, specifications, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
- Conduct virtual inspections of ongoing electrical work using video conferencing, document sharing, and other remote inspection tools.
- Verify electrical components and installations comply with plans, specifications, and code requirements.
- Identify and document any discrepancies or non-conformances with clear explanations and photographic evidence.
- Collaborate with electrical contractors and project managers to resolve discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and reports.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical codes and industry best practices.
Safety Management:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company's safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct remote safety audits of job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Monitor daily safety performance and provide guidance to achieve zero accidents.
- Investigate and analyze safety incidents or near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education to employees as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive safety records and documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters, including regulatory compliance and inspections.
