Descripción
Is responsible for overseeing the successful launch of new products from concept to commercialization. This role ensures seamless collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing teams to optimize product development, cost efficiency, and time-to-market. The NPI Consultant plays a critical role in managing risks, enhancing process efficiency, and ensuring product quality while meeting business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end NPI process, ensuring timely and cost-effective product launches
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing, to align on product requirements and development timelines.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for new product introductions.
- Identify potential risks in product development and launch phases and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
- Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to optimize sourcing and production readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement in NPI processes by leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
- Develop KPIs to track NPI success and provide regular status updates to senior leadership.
- Act as a key stakeholder in driving cost, performance, and manufacturability improvements
- Collaborate with our "Client´s teams" to develop detailed project plans, manage scope, activities, deliverables, and resources, ensuring On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery within budget and quality standards, while maintaining action, risk, and issue logs for transparency and accountability.
- Monitor project progress, run weekly review meetings, raise risks/issues with mitigation plans, and update stakeholders with KPI/SLAs dashboards.
- Organize and support leadership and steering group meetings, prepare materials, track action items, and develop and monitor KPIs/SLAs for implementation success.
- Assess project risks, define mitigation strategies, and ensure their
- execution to prevent business disruptions
- Set up dashboards for KPI monitoring, design reporting systems, and provide regular reports to the client on project health and performance metrics.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- English Fluent
- 7+ years of experience in product development, NPI, or manufacturing-related roles.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and stage-gate processes.
- Experience with Agile, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and project management tools such as SAP, Oracle, or Jira.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supply chains is a plus
- Experience with technology delivery projects preferred. Understand how marketing functions works or previous collaboration experience will be bonus
- Proven risk management experience
- Must have strong stakeholder management experience
