About the Role: The position will be part of the Sales Engineering team who will provide technical sales support to the sales team and customers in the Americas. This position requires strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the products' parts, functions, and processes. The position would be responsible for technical support and solutions relating to Aviat products and services.
Responsibilities:
· Partner with the Sales Engineering team to support their efforts to develop relationships with existing and potential customers.
· Work directly with customers on occasion and per the account plan to address sales needs and issues.
· Analyze existing and anticipated customer requirements and promote consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements.
· Assist the Sales Engineers in the preparation of sales and account plans.
· Develop and deliver sales presentations that demonstrate breadth of knowledge of the company's products and services and be able to strategically leverage the company's value proposition.
· Maintain technical proficiency, competitive knowledge and industry trends.
· Provide design and pricing documents including transmission engineering path calculations, equipment pricing spreadsheets and high-level system descriptions.
· Collaborate with the SE team in setting the “win” strategy on all jobs.
· Work closely with Product Line Management to be kept informed of new products and other information of interest to customers and to be able to bridge the transfer of information from customers so as to influence future development and direction.
· Provide constructive and meaningful intelligence on the competition, customer requirements, market trends and product features to the appropriate internal teams.
· Provide accurate and timely forecasts to management.
· Manage priorities and tasks efficiently and support internal teams in the development of proposals and implementation of projects.
· Utilize CRM tool to track opportunities and provide timely funnel reporting.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
· Bachelor's degree, preferred, and 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role.
· Previous Sales Support or similar experience preferred.
· Experience with microwave path design and methods.
· Background in IP networks and how they integrate with microwave radios is preferred.
· Working knowledge in routing, IP, MPLS, Ethernet, TDM, layer 2/3 technologies is a plus.
· Team player with a positive, can-do attitude. Cross functional teamwork experience is a must.
· Sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task in an efficient manner
· Must possess high proficiency in English for written and verbal communications.
